Job Description:
We are seeking a diligent and organized Dry Store (Stock Room) Assistant to join our team! As a key part of our daily operations, you will manage stock deliveries, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure the stock room is clean and efficiently organized. If you have an eye for detail, are physically capable of handling heavy items, and are committed to maintaining a well-functioning stock room, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify incoming deliveries, ensuring all stock is accounted for.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels and update inventory regularly.
- Prepare and dispatch stock for use in production.
- Monitor stock levels and notify the team of any shortages.
- Implement stock rotation procedures to ensure older stock is used first.
- Inspect new shipments and update inventory records accordingly.
- Label new stock with all necessary information.
- Keep the stock room clean, organized, and clutter-free.
- Lift and move heavy boxes and bags as needed.
- Participate in regular stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
Requirements:
- Matric certificate.
- Experience as a General Assistant or General Worker is advantageous.
- Proficient in English.
- Must reside within 15km of the job location.
- Clear criminal record.
