Job Description
Main Purpose
The Divisional Finance Manager will enhance the financial health of the Clicks Group by overseeing the strategy, reporting, and financial analysis for the UniHealth division. This role aligns with the group’s vision and governance framework. The finance manager is responsible for managing monthly reporting, interim and year-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, the audit process, and assisting with ad hoc projects.
Job Objectives

Produce and distribute monthly, interim, and annual financial information to support the business in making informed decisions.

Ensure accurate and timely reports are produced, analyzed, and distributed to business units, highlighting variances and corrective measures, and ensuring the implementation and monitoring of these actions.

Develop strong business partnerships to achieve business objectives and maintain budget adherence in an environment of transparent business dealings.

Support the business during the planning and forecasting processes, balancing risks and opportunities effectively.
Forecasting and Budgeting Process

Manage the forecasting and budgeting process for the UniHealth division.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather insights and requirements for budget and forecast planning.

Ensure the accurate and comprehensive capturing of detailed budgets and forecasts.

Prepare and distribute detailed budget and forecast packs to key stakeholders.
Monthly, Interim, and Annual Reporting

Support the business by producing and distributing monthly, interim, and annual financial reports.

Prepare and review monthly financial reports, ensuring accurate and timely production.

Identify and explain variances from budgets and previous periods, providing actionable insights.

Ensure all relevant balance sheet reconciliations are performed and reviewed monthly.
Managing the Audit Process

Ensure all financial records and documentation are audit-ready and compliant with relevant standards and regulations.

Manage the audit request list and ensure timely submission of audit requests.

Address and resolve any audit findings or recommendations promptly.
Ad-hoc Projects

Assist with special projects such as acquisitions within the UniHealth business unit, including valuation, due diligence, onboarding, assessing controls, system integration, and process implementation.
Minimum Requirements
Education
-
CA (SA), CIMA, or CFA
Experience
-
Minimum of 5 years relevant finance experience, preferably in the retail industry, with experience in a JSE-listed company.
Knowledge and Skills

Highly analytical with strong attention to detail

Excellent IT skills, including advanced Excel, and familiarity with ERP systems and business analysis tools such as SQL, Tableau, or Power BI
