Rand Water Vacancies – District Aide – Libanon

Job Summary:
Rand Water is seeking a District Aide to assist in the general repair and maintenance of pipelines, valves, and meters. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep of the district’s water infrastructure, including patrolling pipelines and performing standby duties when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and repair of pipelines, valves, and meters.
• Conducting pipeline patrols by bicycle to ensure system integrity.
• Participating in standby duties as required.
• Upkeep and maintenance of grounds.
• Cleaning of buildings and offices to maintain a safe and clean environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 qualification.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar maintenance or infrastructure environment.
• Proven ability to perform maintenance on pipelines.
• Strong communication skills.

Knowledge:

• General maintenance practices.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and safe working methods.

Skills:

• Effective communication skills.

Attitude:

• Performance-driven with a strong attention to detail.
• Highly motivated to contribute to efficient operations.
• Customer service-oriented with a focus on quality.
