Dischem Vacancies – Development Team Lead

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a Development Team Lead (Qualified Pharmacist) to oversee a sales team and drive volume and margin growth for our CJ Speciality division in Midrand. As the Development Team Lead, your primary focus will be developing and implementing direct business sales strategies to meet business goals and ensure customer satisfaction.

Minimum Requirements:

• Essential:
  • Grade 12 / Matric or Senior Certificate
  • BPharm Degree
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in the hospital and retail industry
  • Knowledge of surgical and ethical stock
• Advantageous:
  • Diploma or Degree in Sales or Marketing

Job Responsibilities:

• Create and implement sales plans for the Telesales team, ensuring performance targets are met.
• Lead, coach, and mentor the Telesales team to achieve sales excellence and exceptional customer care.
• Set and monitor sales targets for the team, ensuring budget and revenue goals are achieved.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Credit to ensure seamless operations.
• Implement pricing strategies that adhere to company policies to maximize profit.
• Assist with daily administrative tasks, including product listings, vendor negotiations, and customer pricing.
• Develop a sales strategy in collaboration with internal stakeholders based on customer needs.
• Build strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to create mutually beneficial relationships.
• Provide insights into strategic planning by sharing the latest market trends to grow the CJ Speciality division.
• Build and maintain productive, long-lasting customer relationships through effective communication and understanding their needs.

Competencies and Skills:

• Essential:
  • In-depth knowledge of hospital surgical/consumables
  • Strong command of the English language
  • Fundamental arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Advantageous:
  • Knowledge of Marketing and Sales practices and principles, particularly in the Retail, Beauty, FMCG, Health, and Pharmacy industries in South Africa
  • Experience with QlikView and SAP
