Shoprite Vacancies – Customer Service Agent

Shoprite is looking for a Customer Service Agent to deliver exceptional support and contribute to a customer-focused culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality customer service, ensuring a positive experience for every customer.
  • Manage incoming calls, clearly communicate, and offer accurate product or service information.
  • Resolve customer queries efficiently and escalate requests when necessary, keeping customers informed.
  • Respond proactively to urgent or emergency situations following service guidelines.
  • Stay updated on performance requirements, products, campaigns, and process documentation.
  • Ensure service level goals are met and take steps to improve customer retention.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, providing feedback to improve processes.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Assist teammates when needed, such as knowledge sharing or handling language barriers.
  • Support additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 / Matric (essential).
  • Degree, diploma, or relevant courses in communications or a related field (beneficial).

Experience

  • At least five years of experience in a customer service role (essential).

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including SharePoint Online.
  • Experience in a retail or contact center environment (preferred).
