Shoprite is looking for a Customer Service Agent to deliver exceptional support and contribute to a customer-focused culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality customer service, ensuring a positive experience for every customer.
- Manage incoming calls, clearly communicate, and offer accurate product or service information.
- Resolve customer queries efficiently and escalate requests when necessary, keeping customers informed.
- Respond proactively to urgent or emergency situations following service guidelines.
- Stay updated on performance requirements, products, campaigns, and process documentation.
- Ensure service level goals are met and take steps to improve customer retention.
- Follow company policies and procedures, providing feedback to improve processes.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Assist teammates when needed, such as knowledge sharing or handling language barriers.
- Support additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 / Matric (essential).
- Degree, diploma, or relevant courses in communications or a related field (beneficial).
Experience
- At least five years of experience in a customer service role (essential).
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including SharePoint Online.
- Experience in a retail or contact center environment (preferred).
