Shoprite Vacancies – Customer Service Agent

Shoprite is looking for a Customer Service Agent to provide exceptional support and contribute to a culture of customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming calls, assist customers with inquiries, and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Provide accurate product and service information while ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Handle urgent or emergency situations in line with company guidelines.
  • Escalate requests when necessary and keep customers updated on resolutions.
  • Stay informed about performance requirements, product offerings, promotions, and processes.
  • Work towards achieving service level goals and enhancing customer retention.
  • Follow company policies, provide feedback for improvements, and contribute to process optimization.
  • Collaborate with teammates, offering assistance when needed to improve service delivery.
  • Support additional tasks and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 / Matric (essential).
  • Degree/Diploma or courses in Communications or a related field (advantageous).

Experience

  • Minimum of five years of experience in a customer service role.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including SharePoint Online.
  • Experience in a retail or contact center environment (preferred).
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
