Shoprite is looking for a Customer Service Agent to provide exceptional support and contribute to a culture of customer service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming calls, assist customers with inquiries, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Provide accurate product and service information while ensuring a seamless customer experience.
- Handle urgent or emergency situations in line with company guidelines.
- Escalate requests when necessary and keep customers updated on resolutions.
- Stay informed about performance requirements, product offerings, promotions, and processes.
- Work towards achieving service level goals and enhancing customer retention.
- Follow company policies, provide feedback for improvements, and contribute to process optimization.
- Collaborate with teammates, offering assistance when needed to improve service delivery.
- Support additional tasks and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 / Matric (essential).
- Degree/Diploma or courses in Communications or a related field (advantageous).
Experience
- Minimum of five years of experience in a customer service role.
Knowledge and Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including SharePoint Online.
- Experience in a retail or contact center environment (preferred).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
