Position Overview

Tiger Brands is seeking a dynamic Customer Analyst: Culinary to join our customer marketing team. In this role, you will provide critical research and analysis to shape competitive commercial propositions. By analyzing sales data and market trends, you will help identify opportunities that increase profitability and enhance the penetration of Tiger Brands’ product offerings. Your insights will directly contribute to strategic decision-making and customer marketing success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, cleanse, and analyze EPOS data to provide actionable insights for customer marketing managers.
  • Review and interpret data from sources such as Nielsen and Dunnhumby to identify shopper marketing and category management improvements.
  • Assist in category management activities, making recommendations on pricing, sales trends, and competitor performance.
  • Monitor merchandising standards across channels, identifying areas for improvement to enhance shopper experiences.
  • Track and evaluate shopper plan implementations, ensuring team alignment on best-in-class activation.
  • Present analytical findings to customers during joint business planning and regular meetings.
  • Develop and refine tools, reports, and processes that support the customer team in efficiently leveraging data for space planning and marketing strategies.

Performance Metrics

  • Category market share, forward share, and distribution performance.
  • Improvement in gross margin and category profitability.
  • Speed of implementation for go-to-market strategies.
  • Effectiveness of POP materials and pricing strategies.
  • Customer satisfaction with the insights and support provided.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in customer or sales management within the FMCG industry.
  • A relevant degree in marketing, business, or an analytical field.
  • Strong skills in data analysis, with the ability to interpret multiple data sources to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings to both internal teams and external customers.
  • Knowledge of channel innovations and trends that will drive business success.
  • A focus on long-term results, with the ability to think strategically and work towards sustainable growth.
