What You’ll Have Done Before:

Baseline Requirements:

  • NQF Level 5 (Higher Certificate in Accounting or related field).
  • 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable.
  • Experience with SAP (FI module).

Advantageous:

  • NQF Level 6 (Diploma in Accounting).

  • Gain in-depth understanding of vendor, bank, and other GL account processes from a specialist perspective.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate data recording.
  • Deliver high-quality results while meeting tight deadlines.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Verifying and processing invoices to ensure smooth operational workflow.
  • Ensuring timely payments to meet contractual obligations.
  • Conducting rigorous checks to ensure accurate and reconciled customer statements.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Preparing invoices in accordance with IFRS, verifying purchase orders, and scanning to FSSC.
  • Managing the GRIR clearing account and petty cash vouchers/replenishments.
  • Selecting suppliers for FSSC account reconciliations and ensuring vendor invoices are accurately scanned and verified.
  • Ensuring correct payments are made to vendors within contractual terms.
  • Resolving any discrepancies with FSSC and vendors.
  • Updating recurring charges in SAP and producing monthly accounts payable reports.
  • Reviewing and managing the age analysis report on accounts payable.
  • Ensuring compliance with business controls, governance, and regulations to safeguard the company from financial risks.
  • Adhering to internal and external audit requirements.
