Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Creditors Clerk to join our team at the Cape Town branch. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that accounts payable processes are completed efficiently and in a timely manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric Certificate (minimum)
- Working knowledge of the SAP system (advantageous)
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (essential)
- Fluency in English and Afrikaans
- Own transport is required
- At least 2 years of experience with creditor systems and reconciliations
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily follow-up on vendor, statement, and invoice discrepancies
- Filing and sorting invoices and reconciliations
- Handling all supplier documentation and maintaining accurate records
- Preparing and processing monthly accrual journals
- Managing daily, weekly, and monthly cash outflows
- Processing petty cash and cash book-related invoices/payments
- Compiling and distributing necessary reports
- Performing supplier reconciliations to prepare requisitions for payments
- Ensuring accurate reconciliation of purchase orders and invoices
- Capturing invoices accurately on SAP and Key Fleet daily
- Receiving and reviewing payment requisitions to ensure compliance with company policies
- Loading payments onto the online banking system
- Verifying that supplier invoices and creditor banking details match
- Responding to payment-related queries from suppliers and internal staff
- Completing monthly supplier reconciliations to support payments
- Addressing queries from creditors and staff regarding payments
- Loading new creditors onto the SAP system
- Providing monthly creditors’ age analysis for management review
- Performing ad hoc duties as required
