Responsibilities
The Credit Controller will manage credit control processes, ensuring effective debt collection, adherence to customer terms, and maintenance of outstanding accounts within agreed targets. The role requires accurate claim processing, reporting, and proactive stakeholder communication.

  • Allocate payments accurately in line with company policies.
  • Analyze overdue amounts and drive collections by mid-month.
  • Resolve customer queries efficiently to maintain positive relationships.
  • Reconcile accounts monthly and ensure data accuracy.
  • Conduct trade visits to manage outstanding queries and invoices.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure alignment on trade activities.
  • Monitor customer payment behavior and risk status.
  • Ensure claims are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain up-to-date master data in compliance with company standards and POPI Act.
  • Prevent credit term and limit breaches.
  • Provide financial reporting on overdue accounts, payment trends, and claims.
  • Advise management on potential bad debts and recommend action steps.
  • Maintain communication with internal teams such as Sales Admin and Finance.

Qualifications

  • Finance Degree/Diploma or Credit Management Qualification.
  • 2-3 years of credit control experience within an FMCG environment.
  • Knowledge of SAP, BI, and financial reporting.
  • Experience with export customers, UCR numbers, and SAD500.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Valid Code 08 driver’s license.
  • Aptitude for financial analysis and account reconciliation.
