Pepkor Lifestyle is looking for an experienced Courier Hub Manager to join the Cato Ridge Courier Team. The Courier Hub Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Rosslyn courier hub, ensuring efficient parcel processing, timely dispatch, and exceptional service delivery. This role includes managing hub staff, optimizing logistical processes, maintaining compliance with company policies, and driving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the courier hub, including parcel sorting, dispatch, and delivery coordination.

  • Lead and supervise a team of hub staff, including drivers, sorters, and administrative personnel.

  • Monitor hub performance and key performance indicators (KPIs), implementing necessary improvements.

  • Ensure all shipments are processed accurately and delivered on time to meet service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

  • Collaborate with logistics teams, couriers, and external partners to optimize transportation and distribution routes.

  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly, ensuring high-quality service delivery.

  • Oversee inventory control and hub supplies to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operations.

  • Prepare operational reports and provide insights to senior management.

  • Implement cost-saving initiatives to improve hub efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.

  • At least 4 years of proven experience in logistics, courier services, or a similar role.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in logistics software and tracking systems.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Knowledge of local and regional transportation networks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with e-commerce logistics or express delivery services.

  • Understanding of fleet management and route optimization.
