Job Description

We are currently looking for a reliable and experienced Courier Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting packages and parcels to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. The Courier Driver will also maintain accurate delivery records and provide exceptional customer service during all interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely delivery of packages to customers, stores, other Service Centres, and drop-off points with correct documents and stock at all times.

  • Return stock to the Service Centre for any undelivered items, pick-ups, or incorrectly loaded stock.

  • Take responsibility for stock, vehicle, and equipment entrusted to your care.

  • Comply with relevant safety policies and procedures.

  • Provide exceptional customer service and interact with customers in a customer-centric manner.

  • Manage time effectively and work well within a team.

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of products and services offered.

  • Knowledge of transportation principles and record-keeping.

  • Awareness of distribution safety and responsible care.

  • Extensive geographical knowledge of the delivery area.

  • Knowledge of PEPKOR Lifestyle’s policies, practices, processes, and systems.

  • Understanding of PEPKOR Lifestyle’s operating model.

  • Awareness of ethical responsibilities in the role.

Skills:

  • Optimizing fleet utilization and maintaining fleet vehicles.

  • Fleet maintenance and repair management.

  • Fleet cost control.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12.

  • Valid driver’s license, PDP.

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a driver in a courier environment.
