DisChem Vacancies – Cosmetic Consultant

Job Overview:
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Cosmetic Consultant to join our Haasendal store. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling Dis-Chem’s range of cosmetic and beauty products, providing exceptional customer service, and driving sales through engaging product demonstrations and promotions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Deliver outstanding customer care, addressing and escalating serious or unresolved complaints to the manager.
• Product Promotion: Demonstrate cosmetics and beauty products through makeovers, demonstrations, and promotional activities.
• Stock Management: Monitor and manage stock levels in accordance with Dis-Chem procedures. Report any short, damaged, or expired stock to the manager.
• Merchandising: Ensure that merchandising and displays are attractive and in line with store standards.
• Sales Achievement: Maximize store income by meeting or exceeding department, brand, and vendor sales targets.
• Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on products, brands, and trends within the retail and beauty industries.
• Promotions Management: Oversee all cosmetic, fragrance, and beauty promotions, including managing salon appointments.
• Compliance: Adhere to Dis-Chem’s policies, procedures, SOPs, and health and safety regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Essential:
  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • Retail experience as a sales consultant.
  • Computer literate.
  • Willing and able to work retail hours.
• Advantageous:
  • Experience with cosmetics, fragrances, and/or beauty products.

Competencies:

• Essential:
  • Strong command of English (written and verbal).
  • Team player with excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to understand and interpret stock reports and sales targets.
  • Effective task scheduling and time management.
• Advantageous:
  • Experience in promotions, personal selling, and achieving sales targets.
  • Previous sales and promotional training.
  • Knowledge of stock management, including handling expired and damaged stock.
  • Bilingual capabilities.
