Lucia store. This role involves promoting and selling Dis-Chem cosmetic and beauty products while delivering excellent and consistent customer service.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Retail experience as a sales consultant
• Computer literacy
• Willingness to work retail hours

Advantageous:

• Experience in cosmetics, fragrance, or beauty

Responsibilities

• Address and escalate serious or unresolved customer complaints to management
• Provide exceptional customer care and service
• Demonstrate products through makeovers, cosmetic applications, spray promotions, and other activities
• Maintain optimal stock levels and report damaged, short, or expired stock to the manager
• Ensure merchandising and displays are visually appealing
• Maximize store revenue by achieving department, brand, and vendor sales targets
• Stay updated on products, brands, and industry trends
• Oversee all cosmetics, fragrances, and beauty house promotions
• Manage salon appointments efficiently
• Comply with Dis-Chem policies, procedures, standard operating procedures, and health and safety regulations

Competencies

Essential:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Understanding of stock reports and sales performance (including targets and commissions)
• Ability to follow a structured task schedule

Advantageous:

• Experience in promotions, personal selling, and customer relationship management
• Sales and promotional training
• Stock management skills, including handling expired and damaged stock and ensuring stock rotation
• Bilingual communication skills
