DHL Supply Chain South Africa is looking for a Coordinator – Internal Communications to support the Marketing & Communications Lead for Africa in executing internal communication strategies and corporate social responsibility initiatives. This role plays a key part in shaping the internal communications agenda while aligning with stakeholder expectations and global company guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of internal communication strategies to enhance engagement across the organization.
- Develop and execute an annual internal communications plan, ensuring alignment with business goals and corporate guidelines.
- Create and manage content for internal communication channels, including email, newsletters, virtual and in-person events, and Smart Connect.
- Maintain and expand the internal communications network across Africa to strengthen messaging and engagement.
- Gather, prepare, and gain approval for content distributed across internal channels.
- Manage internal communications databases and drive initiatives to improve viewership and engagement.
- Foster a culture of transparency and inclusivity through strategic communication efforts.
- Assist in developing communication tools across various media, including print, digital, and video.
- Support the Business Development and Sales teams by creating presentations and marketing materials.
- Provide communication guidelines and consultation to internal stakeholders.
- Plan and execute internal marketing and communications events, including MD town halls and roadshows.
- Oversee administrative tasks related to marketing and internal communications, including managing event logistics, promotional materials, and travel arrangements.
- Localize and adapt digital marketing assets, including posters, videos, and email campaigns.
- Support the delivery of corporate social responsibility initiatives, including the GoTeach program.
- Assist with social media content creation and management, particularly for LinkedIn.
- Collaborate with the global communications team on international projects and initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Matric and a qualification in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in marketing or communications.
- Experience in the transportation or logistics industry is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, including media relations experience.
- Proficiency in content creation, video production, and basic editing tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a matrix organization with cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills.
