Fidelity Vacancies – Control Room Operator lead-Midrand

The Control Room Operator Lead-Midrand is responsible for handling incoming signals, monitoring response and patrol resources, and ensuring the efficient operation of the monitoring center. The role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to standard operating procedures, and the ability to respond effectively to emergency and non-emergency situations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • PSIRA Grade C registration

Responsibilities & Duties

Administration

  • Monitor and respond to emergency and non-emergency signals.
  • Contact premises, clients, and key holders as needed.
  • Accurately record and log all activations and incidents.
  • Report all incidents and accidents to the senior on duty.
  • Complete all necessary administrative tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Monitor and take action on vehicle violations.
  • Update timesheets as required.

Computers & Equipment Management

  • Report any technical faults to the appropriate authority.
  • Ensure company telephones are used strictly for business purposes.
  • Comply with safety and zero-harm standards.

Monitoring Centre Maintenance

  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation.

Client Liaison

  • Provide telephonic assistance for client issues and complaints.
  • Update client information, including holiday instructions.
  • Report faulty alarm systems through the proper channels.
  • Identify and report sales leads as needed.

General Responsibilities

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the role.
  • Attend required meetings and training sessions.
  • Adhere to company policies regarding telephone usage.

Standard Operating Procedures

  • Follow all standing operating procedures.
  • Meet and maintain agreed service levels and performance targets.
  • Deliver a consistently high standard of service.

Ad Hoc Tasks

  • Assist with additional tasks and projects as required.
