Fidelity Vacancies – Control Room Operator-Grade A/B/C Vanderbiljpark

A vacancy exists for a Control Room Operator at a high-risk site in Vanderbijlpark, reporting to the Site Manager. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee surveillance operations and provide detailed reporting.

Requirements:

  • PSIRA Grade A or B certification (must be registered and renewed)
  • 3-5 years of experience working as a Control Room Operator
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and WhatsApp, with the ability to learn new software systems
  • Firearm competency for business purposes is an advantage
  • NKP (National Key Point) certification is an advantage
  • Strong administrative and security-related skills, including observation, action, and reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Contactable references
  • No criminal record (verification required)
  • Reliable with sober habits

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain effective risk management practices
  • Investigate and monitor crime threats through an information network
  • Identify and mitigate crime-enabling factors in the work environment
  • Ensure compliance with site Standard Operating Procedures
  • Manage all aspects of the control room operations
  • Maintain and update the incident register daily
  • Enforce discipline and maintain key control
