Key Responsibilities:
As a Confectioner, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing all aspects of the baking process, including mixing, fermenting, baking, cooling, and packaging.
- Accurately following and adjusting recipes to ensure consistent quality.
- Preparing and applying fillings, glazes, and decorations to baked items.
- Operating bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, slicers, and wrapping machines.
- Managing ingredient quantities based on production needs and keeping an organized inventory.
- Storing ingredients and finished products safely and maintaining proper hygiene standards.
- Ensuring the bakery area is clean, organized, and compliant with food safety regulations.
- Consistently producing high-quality baked goods that meet our store’s standards.
- Weighing ingredients, preparing dough, kneading, cutting, and shaping it for baking.
- Setting oven temperatures, monitoring baking times, and checking for quality during the process.
- Coordinating bakery deliveries and managing the storage of supplies.
Requirements:
To qualify for the Confectioner position, you must have:
- A Matric certificate.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Confectioner.
- A clean criminal record.
- Reside within 15km of the job location.
