Fidelity Vacancies – Command Centre Supervisor-SecureFire

Fidelity SecureFire is seeking a dedicated Command Centre Supervisor to oversee the efficient operation of the Command Centre. This role ensures that all staff deliver exceptional service to both internal and external clients while maintaining operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Matric certificate or equivalent qualification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or First Aid Level 3 (advantageous)
  • Experience in fire, medical, or combined service within an operations call centre
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and other relevant software
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a control room environment as an operator or relevant proof of experience
  • Clean criminal record (verification required)
  • Reliable, with sober habits
  • Contactable references
  • Preferably residing in Midrand or surrounding areas
  • Own transport or a reliable means to report for duty on time

Responsibilities

  • Answer emergency calls promptly, gather essential information, and log details into the CAD system
  • Maintain knowledge of major roads, public buildings, industrial areas, and geographic landmarks
  • Ask critical questions to analyze and anticipate the caller’s situation, dispatch emergency services, and provide necessary pre-arrival instructions
  • Ensure timely and clear communication with dispatched units and operational partners
  • Maintain accurate and organized records for documentation and retrieval purposes
  • Project a professional attitude in all interactions with the public and emergency response teams
  • Conduct end-of-week reviews to assess performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Ensure confidentiality of all information handled within the Command Centre
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager
