Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the migration of existing applications to the cloud and the development of new cloud-based solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and build out cloud services for business IT customers.
- Work with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, with a strong focus on security.
- Utilize DevOps tools like GitHub and CI/CD pipelines for automation.
- Build and manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve cloud solutions that align with business goals.
- Stay ahead of cloud trends and innovations, contributing to continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team.
What Will Make You Successful in This Role:
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
- Automation Skills: Experience with DevOps tools, including GitHub and CI/CD pipeline creation.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Software Engineering: Experience in software engineering with an understanding of architectural patterns like Microservices and Event-Driven Design.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Matric Certificate
- A valid cloud certification (Professional/Expert level)
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience architecting and building cloud solutions.
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with cloud-native technologies (serverless, containers, etc.).
- Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
- Experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or ECS.
- Solid understanding of networking and security fundamentals.
- Knowledge of various software architecture patterns.
