Job Objectives

Lead and manage the delivery of all clinic services by aligning processes, resources and priorities to meet patient needs, clinical standards and financial targets.

Drive service excellence and an outstanding patient experience to ensure sustainable profitability.

Manage clinic budgets and allocate resources effectively to deliver cost-efficient healthcare services.

Monitor service trends and patient feedback, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance clinic performance.

Ensure full compliance with healthcare legislation, infection control standards and clinical governance frameworks to mitigate risk and uphold quality.

Build, lead and develop a high-performing, engaged and competent clinic team to achieve sustained results.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support integrated patient care, referrals and service growth.

Provide accurate and timely information to support decision-making, risk management and effective operational control.

Manage financial, human and operational resources to deliver the operating plan and achieve business objectives.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications

Essential: Degree or diploma in Nursing, Health Sciences or a related clinical field.

Essential: Registration with the South African Nursing Council and relevant professional body.

Essential: Proof of compliance with Continuing Professional Development requirements.

Desirable: Postgraduate qualification in Healthcare Management, Public Health or Business.

Desirable: Additional registration with a healthcare management professional body.

Desirable: Advanced Life Support or infection prevention and control training.
-
Desirable: Training or accreditation in quality assurance, clinical governance or risk management.
Experience
-
Essential: Minimum 8 years’ clinical experience in a primary healthcare, clinic or hospital environment.

Essential: At least 3 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role within a healthcare setting.

Essential: Experience managing daily clinic operations, including rostering, stock control and workflow planning.

Essential: Experience in budgeting, resource planning and cost control in a healthcare environment.

Desirable: Experience in specialised clinic services such as baby clinic, wound care, travel medicine or women’s health.

Desirable: Exposure to revenue generation, service pricing and financial reporting.

Desirable: Experience with external audits and quality assurance processes.
-
Desirable: Experience implementing patient satisfaction initiatives or community outreach programmes.
