Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric with a keen interest in studying Graphic Design
• Interest or limited experience in graphic design with a portfolio of creative works

Advantageous:

• Willingness to learn and develop skills in a professional design environment
• Experience in design software

Responsibilities:

• Learn and apply consistent design standards across various projects
• Assist in planning, designing, and developing creative concepts
• Demonstrate illustrative skills through rough sketches and layout development
• Work towards gaining the ability to design, illustrate, and photograph elements as needed in a design studio
• Ensure tasks align with given project requirements
• Contribute fresh ideas and creative concepts for review
• Prepare design elements for the broader design team
• Support workload management and assist with production and finishing tasks in the studio

Innovation and research:

• Gather and refine specifications and requirements for each design project
• Stay updated with new technology and trends in the graphic design industry
• Develop an understanding of cost-effective and time-efficient design approaches

Stakeholder collaboration:

• Work closely with printers, copywriters, photographers, stylists, illustrators, designers, account managers, web developers, and marketing specialists to ensure high-quality work
• Assist in providing pre-production elements required for finalizing design projects
• Consider and apply feedback from team members to improve design tasks
• Provide relevant and accurate feedback to the team on project progress

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Suite
