Job Summary:
Rand Water is seeking a highly skilled Change Management Specialist to plan, lead, and implement change management solutions supporting Group Finance Transformation Projects across the organization. This role is essential for driving successful transitions by aligning people, systems, and processes within the finance function and across various departments. The Change Management Specialist will ensure the seamless integration of change management plans through stakeholder engagement, communication strategies, training, and support, ensuring that project objectives are met in a dynamic, project-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Change Plans: Design comprehensive change management strategies that ensure smooth transitions to new processes, technologies, or structures.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders to promote alignment, minimize resistance, and secure support for change initiatives across departments.
- Training and Facilitation: Conduct workshops and training sessions to equip employees with the necessary skills and knowledge to embrace the changes.
- Communication Strategies: Develop and disseminate communication materials that keep employees informed, addressing concerns and building trust throughout the change process.
- Monitor and Evaluate Progress: Track the success of change initiatives, identify challenges, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Impact Analysis: Assess the organizational impact of changes and recommend adjustments to improve adoption and effectiveness.
- Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to address potential challenges, minimizing disruptions to operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
- Master’s Degree is advantageous.
- Change Management Certifications:
- Prosci Change Management Certification
- ACMP Change Management Professional (CMP) Certification
- 8+ years of experience in Transformation and Change Management, multi-project management, and successful implementations.
- Strong understanding of change management methodologies, particularly in finance-related environments.
- Project management experience and advanced computer literacy.
- Valid Code 8 driver’s license.
Knowledge Required:
- In-depth knowledge of change management principles and methodologies such as the Prosci ADKAR Model or Kotter’s 8-Step Model.
- Solid understanding of financial processes and terminology to tailor change initiatives effectively for the finance function.
- Knowledge of project management principles, including scope definition, resource allocation, risk management, and evaluation.
Skills Required:
- Expertise in change management and the ability to implement structured and phased change initiatives.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, risk management, and monitoring.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder management and navigating resistance.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills for assessing progress and overcoming challenges.
- Training and facilitation skills to effectively deliver training programs.
- Data analysis skills to inform change decisions and measure success.
- Familiarity with change management software or platforms is advantageous.
