DisChem Vacancies – CCTV Operator Talent Pool-Gauteng

establish a group of pre-screened individuals with the necessary skills and qualifications for future opportunities within Dis-Chem Pharmacies.

The role involves providing security services in compliance with the Private Security Industry Regulations Act 56 of 2001, ensuring the protection of assets, property, and staff. Responsibilities include monitoring CCTV surveillance footage, identifying suspicious activities, and responding to security incidents while adhering to industry regulations and best practices.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Grade C PSIRA accreditation
  • 1 to 3 years of CCTV control room experience in a warehousing or distribution center environment
  • At least 1 year of CCTV control room experience in a pharmaceutical warehousing environment with Hikvision experience

Advantageous:

  • 2 or more years of CCTV control room experience in a pharmaceutical warehousing environment with Hikvision experience

Responsibilities:

  • Stay alert and vigilant to identify suspicious activities, notifying Security Guards as per standard procedures
  • Monitor and control access to premises, ensuring only authorized personnel enter
  • Investigate and report any signs of damage or unauthorized entry to management
  • Provide a professional and courteous presence when interacting with guests, customers, and employees
  • Safeguard company property and assets from dishonest actions or malicious behavior
  • Maintain a constant presence at assigned posts while on duty
  • Deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Report any unusual or suspicious behavior from staff, customers, or suppliers
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures, ensuring security protocols are followed
  • Monitor CCTV surveillance footage in accordance with company standards
  • Supervise alarm systems and emergency detection equipment
  • Conduct surveillance during night shifts or after hours to detect and investigate suspicious activities
  • Assist emergency teams in crisis situations, including alerting first responders and managers
  • Maintain order during evacuation procedures and provide guidance at assembly points
  • Provide ongoing security advice to enhance safety awareness
  • Act promptly and appropriately in response to potential security threats
  • Report emergencies, such as armed robberies, to authorities without delay
  • Maintain accurate records of unusual incidents and daily activities
  • Enforce security regulations to prevent criminal activities
  • Perform administrative tasks such as responding to phone calls, messages, and emails as required
  • Maintain security registers and occurrence books in accordance with company policies
  • Conduct investigations following legal and ethical guidelines
  • Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize financial risks due to theft, vandalism, or accidents
  • Conduct audits as required and take necessary action
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations
  • Adhere to uniform and personal appearance policies
