In this role, you’ll handle various tasks including transaction processing, stock replenishment, merchandising, and maintaining store standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:
   • Provide outstanding service to enhance the shopping experience.
   • Assist customers in locating products and address any queries or complaints.
2. Cashier Duties:
   • Process cash and card payments accurately.
   • Handle lay-bys and customer refunds efficiently.
   • Report discrepancies and issues to the supervisor.
   • Balance the till at the end of shifts.
3. Merchandising and Housekeeping:
   • Ensure stock is correctly priced and attractively displayed.
   • Maintain product availability on the sales floor.
   • Keep the store clean and organized.
   • Stay informed about promotions and ensure they are implemented.
4. Risk Management:
   • Tag products according to company policy.
   • Participate in stock takes and be vigilant against shoplifting and fraudulent activities, reporting any suspicious behavior to management.
5. Adherence to Values:
   • Consistently uphold Ackermans’ values, policies, and procedures in all aspects of your role.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Fluent in English (additional languages are beneficial).
• Tenacious, with high energy levels and a strong motivation to meet targets.
• Previous retail experience is advantageous.
