Job Overview:
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for an experienced Cashier to join their team at the Magalieshill Brits Store. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service at the point of sale while maintaining accurate transaction processing in line with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional customer service by adhering to Dis-Chem’s customer service standards.
• Accurately record customer transactions on the operating system while minimizing inaccuracies and fraud risks.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers.
• Report customer complaints and compliments to the Frontline Supervisor or store management.
• Stay updated on current sales and promotions.
• Ensure safe handling of all cash and payments, including bank cards, vouchers, coupons, and loyalty cards.
• Process exchanges, refunds, and returns as authorized.
• Manage cash flow by ensuring that all transactions are accurate and properly recorded.
• Adhere to security policies and procedures to protect the store, colleagues, and customers.
• Handle daily takings confidentially and ensure all cash is secured in drop safes as per company policies.
• Scan and process all outgoing stock/items/scripts.

Requirements:

• Essential:
  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • Minimum of 6 months’ experience in cashier or till operations.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office).
  • Strong numerical skills.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Basic customer service skills.
  • Ability to work retail hours.
• Advantageous:
  • Third additional language proficiency.

• Proficiency in processing sales, refunds, and payments.
