Job Description
Truworths is seeking a skilled Planner to join our Buying/Planning teams at our Head Office in Cape Town. In this role, you will utilize the latest industry merchandise systems to forecast sales, manage financial strategies, and effectively trade products. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and solution-driven professional who enjoys complex problem-solving.
The Planner will be responsible for developing, implementing, and controlling all aspects of merchandise planning to ensure the profitability and efficient servicing of our stores. You will collaborate with various departments, including distribution and store design, to ensure that products are delivered successfully from inception to delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Work closely with fashion Merchandise Buyers and suppliers.

Use both international and bespoke in-house systems for product planning.

Ensure the right mix of merchandise reaches the right stores at the right price and on time.
Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a fashion retail environment.

A relevant numerical tertiary qualification.

Familiarity with systems such as Oracle, ProClarity, and PLM is advantageous.
