Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Butchery Manager to join our team! As the Butchery Manager, you will oversee daily operations, manage stock, ensure top-quality meat products, and provide excellent customer service. Your expertise in meat cuts, inventory management, and promotions will drive the success of our butchery department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with product selections, answer inquiries, and ensure high-quality service.
  • Manage and monitor stock levels, ensuring that all meat products meet quality standards.
  • Perform weekly stock takes and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Ensure correct handling and processing of different meat cuts, providing guidance to both staff and customers.
  • Receive and inspect incoming stock to ensure it meets store standards.
  • Develop and execute promotional strategies to drive sales in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of meat products, ensuring they are displayed attractively.
  • Maintain health and safety standards in accordance with regulations for meat handling and storage.
  • Lead and motivate a team, ensuring smooth shift operations and efficient production schedules.
  • Demonstrate strong meat-cutting skills to ensure premium presentation and product quality.

Requirements:

  • Matric certificate.
  • Proven experience as a Butchery Manager or Butcher.
  • Reside within 15km of the job location.

Preferences:

  • South African candidates.
  • Candidates with their own transport.
