Food Lovers Market is seeking a dedicated Butchery General Assistant to join our team! In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering a superior shopping experience. You’ll assist with product handling, customer inquiries, and maintaining a clean and efficient butchery area. Your positive attitude and helpful nature will contribute significantly to our store’s success and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do

• Provide detailed information about butchery products, assist customers in selecting items, and demonstrate proper usage.
• Address and resolve customer issues, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
• Greet customers, offer assistance, and respond to questions with a friendly demeanor.
• Inform customers about promotions and special offers to enhance their shopping experience.
• Handle cash and card transactions, issue receipts, and manage refunds and exchanges accurately.
• Receive and organize deliveries, manage inventory, and keep the butchery area well-stocked and orderly.
• Restock items promptly and ensure product availability.
• Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain cleanliness in designated areas such as the storeroom and kitchen.
• Assist with stock takes and adhere to safety, security, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Follow guidelines for emergency procedures and maintain a clean working environment.

Requirements

• Matric
• Reside within 20km of the job location
• Clear criminal record
