We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Butchery General Assistant to join our team! As a key team member, you’ll assist in providing excellent customer service while maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked butchery department. Key Responsibilities
As a Butchery General Assistant, your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Assisting customers in locating and selecting butchery products, sharing accurate information, and offering recommendations.
- Providing outstanding service by answering customer questions and resolving issues promptly.
- Ensuring the butchery section is clean, organized, and fully stocked with fresh products.
- Restocking meat products quickly and efficiently to ensure availability for customers.
- Assisting with receiving deliveries, checking product quality, and organizing stock in storage.
- Maintaining food safety standards, including proper handling, cutting, and packaging of meat products.
- Helping with stock takes, tracking inventory, and reporting any discrepancies.
- Disposing of waste properly and ensuring the work area is hygienic and free of clutter.
- Supporting the butchery team in all general tasks as needed.
Requirements
To qualify for the Butchery General Assistant role, you must have:
- Matric qualification.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English.
- Residing within 15km of the job location.
- A clear criminal record.
Preferred Experience
- South African candidates preferred.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing or team member role is an advantage.
