Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team in Pretoria and drive business growth in the Short-Term Insurance sector.
Job Purpose:
As the Business Development Manager in Pretoria, you will be responsible for implementing and supporting the Santam Tied Agent Model and the development of Sanlam Short-Term Insurance Advisors. Your role will include fostering the growth of new Short-Term Insurance Advisors, providing technical and product support, and helping build profitable practices across both Santam and Sanlam platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development & Support: Drive business development initiatives and provide ongoing support to Short-Term Insurance Advisors, assisting them in building profitable insurance practices.
- Advisor Support & Training: Facilitate the training and accreditation of new Short-Term Advisors, ensuring they are equipped to sell Personal and Commercial Lines products.
- Growth Strategy: Support growth strategies and oversee compliance monitoring to ensure the smooth operation of Short-Term Advisors’ practices.
- Advisor Onboarding: Identify and onboard new advisors, practices, and brokerages for the Sanlam Short-Term Insurance and Santam Tied Agent platforms.
- Referral Facilitation: Manage and facilitate referrals to assist advisors in expanding their customer base and achieving sales targets.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Short-term Insurance related qualification.
- RE5 Certificate/FAIS compliance (120 credits on NQF level 4).
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in Business Development within the Short-Term Insurance industry (Personal and Commercial Lines).
- Valid driver’s license.
