Spar Vacancies – Business Analyst-Retail Optimisation
SPAR is looking for a Business Analyst – Retail Optimisation to join our dynamic team. This role requires a strong understanding of the retail environment, including communication platforms, customer care systems, and retail operations. The successful candidate will define business requirements, create process flow diagrams, and support the development, testing, and deployment of solutions that drive business value and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define challenges, explore solutions, and assess risks.
- Facilitate workshops to gather requirements and align business needs.
- Document user stories and translate them into actionable business requirements.
- Lead design thinking sessions, focusing on problem definition, ideation, and prototype designs.
- Re-engineer business processes to align with Business Architecture guidelines.
- Promote best practices, continuous improvement, and innovation at the process level.
- Define and articulate acceptance criteria for solutions.
- Identify and validate internal and external data sources to optimize business and operational processes.
- Support retailer engagement platforms and customer care systems.
- Provide tools for reporting, tracking, and documentation to enhance retail operations.
- Maintain close working relationships with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and system functionality understanding.
- Train and onboard users on systems and tools relevant to retail optimisation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technology field.
- Relevant Specialist IT Certification is an advantage.
- At least 3 years of business analysis and business optimisation experience, preferably in retail.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in product management within an agile environment.
- Strong understanding of in-store retail processes from receiving goods to processing sales at till points.
- Experience working on large-scale projects and handling daily operational requests.
- Expertise in process mapping, process re-engineering, and GAP analysis.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple business stakeholders in a retail environment.
- Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) and analytics, including Power BI and SAP Analytics Cloud.
