Shoprite Vacancies – Branch Manager
Shoprite is looking for a Branch Manager to lead and manage daily operations, drive sales, and ensure optimal store performance. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a customer-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Maximize branch sales and profitability by managing key revenue drivers.
- Maintain stock holding levels and ordering processes within company guidelines.
- Ensure accurate stock pricing and take corrective action to improve sales performance.
- Minimize wastage, markdowns, and shrinkage through proactive stock management.
- Provide accurate sales reports and insights to the Regional Retail Manager while identifying areas for improvement.
- Oversee merchandising, promotional displays, and stock availability to align with company standards.
- Enhance customer satisfaction by creating a welcoming shopping environment and ensuring excellent service.
- Lead, coach, and develop employees to achieve performance and service targets.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards while adhering to all legal and audit requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification.
- At least two years of retail sales management or supervisory experience.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Retail sales and financial acumen.
- Proficiency in supervising, leading, and administration.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of supply chain, merchandising, and payment procedures.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for Money Market transactions.
- Understanding of hygiene and safety regulations.
- Experience with retail systems such as ShopPos and OBS.
