Shoprite Vacancies –  Branch Manager – Pietermaritzburg

Purpose of the Role:
House & Home, a division of The Shoprite Group and Africa’s largest retailer, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Branch Manager to join our team. We’re looking for a leader passionate about customer satisfaction, sales growth, and exceptional service. If you have a knack for optimizing branch operations and achieving results through effective people management, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive branch sales performance to meet and exceed targets.
  • Oversee stock management, ensuring accurate inventory control.
  • Lead and motivate branch staff, fostering a productive and positive work environment.
  • Deliver excellent customer service that exceeds expectations.
  • Manage cash handling and all cash management activities within the branch.
  • Regularly report on branch activities, performance, and key data.
  • Support the regional budgeting process with valuable input.
  • Implement and monitor daily management controls for smooth operations.

Qualifications:

  • Essential: Matric
  • Preferred: Retail Management Diploma

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years in a retail furniture environment.
  • At least 3 years of experience in people management.
  • Proven success in managing sales teams for at least 3 years.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in retail systems and report analysis.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Strong understanding of stock control systems.
  • Interest and knowledge in household appliances and furniture.
