We are looking for a dynamic Branch Manager to lead and manage our branch operations. This role involves overseeing sales, marketing, operations, and technical and administrative functions to ensure the branch’s growth, profitability, and compliance with high operational standards.
Reporting to: Regional General Manager/General Manager
Overall Purpose of the Job:
The Branch Manager will ensure the effective management of all functions within the branch, including sales, marketing, operations, and administration, while striving to meet deadlines, achieve budgets, and reduce crime levels.
Minimum Requirements:
- Post-matric qualification in General Management (advantageous).
- Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or Management (advantageous).
- Minimum of 3 years of mid-management experience.
- Strong financial knowledge of budgets, forecasting, and profit & loss management.
- Grade B Security Certificate (existing or obtainable upon appointment).
- Experience in the security industry preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership:
- Provide strong leadership for the branch and its employees.
- Clearly communicate the branch’s vision and strategy to the team.
- Make strategic, long-term decisions for the branch’s growth and success.
Finance, Planning & Controls:
- Develop and submit budget plans and stretch targets for all aspects of the branch.
- Submit annual business, operating, and sales plans in alignment with regional goals.
- Ensure accurate financial forecasting and manage the branch’s profit and loss.
- Oversee collections to ensure financial targets are met.
Sales:
- Achieve sales targets for the branch.
- Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to set and analyze sales projections per geographical area.
- Support Sales Consultants in reaching their targets and manage debtor control for new clients and installations.
- Address and resolve client complaints.
Dealer and IIP Management:
- Meet monthly Dealer and IIP sales targets.
- Recruit and onboard new Dealers and IIP’s within the branch’s region.
- Support Dealers and IIP’s to ensure they meet their contributions to branch growth.
Operations:
- Implement effective planning and production controls to boost productivity and customer service while minimizing costs.
- Foster a customer-focused quality improvement culture.
- Maintain service levels across the branch and manage the branch fleet to prevent operational disruptions.
- Ensure operational excellence through close management of Area Managers.
Health, Safety & Environment:
- Maintain and enforce health and safety policies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, South African laws, and corporate guidelines.
Marketing:
- Lead all marketing initiatives for the branch.
- Improve customer perception based on feedback from surveys.
- Establish and maintain a strong social media presence, encouraging content creation and influencer engagement.
- Implement and monitor OTT strategies.
Commercial:
- Maintain regular communication with customers and the sales team to identify new market opportunities.
- Foster an environment that supports creative solutions to technical demands.
People Management:
- Identify staff development needs and provide coaching and training.
- Manage all HR-related issues and recruitment processes.
- Oversee staff development and ensure succession planning.
Business Development:
- Collaborate with operational managers to identify new business opportunities in Residential Guarding and bulk sales.
- Generate proposals and manage profitability for bulk business and guarding schemes.
Attrition Management:
- Manage attrition by analyzing and addressing its causes.
- Drive reconnections and minimize exposure to bad debt and financial risks.
Competencies (Technical & Behavioral):
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
