Fidelity Vacancies – Branch Manager – East London

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Branch Manager to lead and oversee the overall management of sales, marketing, operations, technical, and administrative functions within our branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth, maintaining high operational standards, meeting deadlines, achieving budgets, and working towards reducing crime levels in the area.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Post-matric qualification in General Management (advantageous).
  • Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or Management (advantageous).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a mid-management role.
  • Financial knowledge, including budgets, forecasting, and Profit & Loss management.
  • Grade B Security Certificate (or willingness to obtain upon appointment).
  • Previous experience in the security industry is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:

  • Provide strong leadership to the branch and its employees, inspiring excellence.
  • Communicate the branch’s vision and strategy with passion and clarity.
  • Make timely and strategic decisions to drive the long-term success of the branch.

Finance, Planning & Controls:

  • Submit and achieve budget plans and stretch targets for all branch operations.
  • Create and manage annual business plans, operating and sales budgets.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Manage the branch P&L to sustain profitability and achieve growth.
  • Oversee effective collections processes.

Sales:

  • Achieve branch sales targets and set growth projections in conjunction with Regional Sales Managers.
  • Analyze sales data to guide business decisions and support Sales Consultants in reaching their targets.
  • Ensure effective debtor control and handle client complaints promptly.
  • Drive the onboarding and management of Dealers and IIPs to meet branch sales objectives.

Operations:

  • Ensure effective planning and production controls across all operations.
  • Champion process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and customer service.
  • Monitor customer service metrics and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Drive operational excellence and ensure service levels are consistently maintained.
  • Manage branch fleet and ensure no disruptions due to vehicle downtime.
  • Attend client visits for contact crimes and manage operational Area Managers for optimum performance.

Health, Safety, and Environment:

  • Maintain health and safety standards and ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and corporate guidelines.

Marketing:

  • Drive marketing initiatives within the branch, including social media presence and influencer relations.
  • Implement strategies to enhance customer perception and engagement through relevant marketing and content creation.

Commercial:

  • Regularly review customer feedback and identify new market opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to develop innovative, commercially viable solutions to customer demands.

People Management:

  • Identify staff training and development needs and provide coaching.
  • Handle HR-related issues, including recruitment, staff development, and employee management.

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in Residential Guarding and bulk sales.
  • Develop proposals for bulk business opportunities and manage profitability for Residential Guarding schemes.

Attrition Management:

  • Analyze and address branch attrition, driving reconnections and implementing mitigation actions.
  • Manage sales channels to minimize exposure to bad debt and financial risk.
