Branch Consultants / Inhouse Advisor – Port Elizabeth X2

This role focuses on promoting Sanlam Retail Mass (SRM) products, providing sound financial advice, and delivering exceptional client service within a branch environment. The primary objective is to grow the client base, optimize sales opportunities, and ensure long-term client retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell SRM financial products, ensuring a high level of service and client satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling value-added services to maximize client optimization.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring ongoing engagement and policy retention.
  • Deliver sales targets through branch activations, community engagement, and lead generation.
  • Ensure all financial advice and sales processes comply with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Provide in-branch support, addressing client queries and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Manage monthly sales and service reports, tracking performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Engage with key internal and external stakeholders, including Area Managers, Business Owners, and community platforms, to strengthen relationships and drive business growth.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of experience in sales or marketing.
  • Experience within an insurance branch environment is an advantage.
  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • RE5 certification is advantageous.
  • FAIS compliance in Wealth Management as per DOFA requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies

  • Strong client service orientation.
  • Effective sales and cross-selling strategies.
  • Understanding of the insurance industry, regulatory requirements, and advisory guidelines.
  • Knowledge of insurance products is beneficial.
  • Goal-driven with a strong focus on achieving sales targets.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Technologically proficient and adaptable to digital tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to influence and persuade clients effectively.
  • Well-organized with strong time management skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
