Fidelity Vacancies – Boxroom Operator – Port Elizabeth
Job Overview:
Fidelity Services Group is seeking two Boxroom Operators to join our Cash-in-Transit (CIT) team in Port Elizabeth. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the movement of consignments in and out of the boxroom and vault, ensuring secure handling and accurate records as part of the CIT operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12/Matric Certificate or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the CIT environment (advantageous)
- At least 1 year of experience in a vault room (advantageous)
- Fully bilingual
- Computer literate (essential)
- IT knowledge
- Operations Internal Stoploss experience (advantageous)
- PSIRA accreditation with a Grade B, preferably CIT
- Completed and up-to-date firearm training and competency
- Willingness to work overtime regularly
- No criminal record
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare for vault room duties and plan vault room schedules
- Receive consignments from bulk and CIT team vehicles
- Sort consignments for CIT teams and ensure correct distribution
- Balance the vault and ensure proper locking procedures
- Manage the secure movement of CIT schedules during transit
- Ensure accurate receipt and issue of consignments to respective team members
- Maintain proper records of transactions using the Trans Track system or receipt book
- Manage vault keys, combinations, and key registers
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and prevent suspicious activities
- Report incidents to the control room promptly
