Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• National or International Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapy (2-year qualification)
• Minimum of 12 months of technical or practical experience in a professional beauty salon environment
• Computer literacy
• Strong numerical skills
• Willingness to work retail hours

Advantageous:

• National or International Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapy (3-year qualification)
• Minimum of 3 years of technical or practical experience in a professional beauty salon environment

Responsibilities:

• Deliver an exceptional salon experience to customers
• Perform facials, waxing, massages, manicures, and pedicures in line with Dis-Chem standards
• Address customer queries, complaints, and compliments professionally
• Stay updated on new beauty products and treatment techniques
• Manage stock levels based on the salon’s needs
• Ensure all equipment is in working order and maintained according to hygiene standards

Competencies:

• Knowledge of skin anatomy, physiology, and contraindications for skin and body treatments
• Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
• Ability to work well in a team and maintain positive customer relations
• Target-driven and deadline-oriented

Advantageous skills:

• Experience with soft laser, bio-magnetic therapy, microdermabrasion, slimming treatments, and spray tanning
• Additional training on salon equipment and laser treatments
• Bilingual proficiency
