Shoprite is seeking two Beauty Consultants to enhance customer experience by providing expert advice, product demonstrations, and exceptional service. This role focuses on sales growth, stock management, merchandising, and customer satisfaction in the beauty department.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain efficient operations, stock control, and shrink management while ensuring adherence to housekeeping and administrative standards.
- Conduct product demonstrations and assist customers in selecting cosmetics and skincare products suited to their needs.
- Drive sales through promotions, cross-selling, and upselling beauty products.
- Ensure proper merchandising and presentation of products on shelves.
- Educate customers on product benefits, usage, and application techniques.
- Stay updated on beauty trends, product ranges, and promotional events to provide accurate information to customers.
- Deliver excellent customer service through sales support, merchandising, and stock control.
- Handle customer inquiries and escalate unresolved issues to management.
- Assist with any ad hoc duties as required, excluding dispensary responsibilities.
Qualifications
Essential
- Grade 12 qualification.
Desirable
- Professional certification in Beauty Therapy, Makeup, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in Cosmetology will be an advantage.
Experience
- Proven experience in a beauty and skincare environment in a similar role.
- At least five months of point-of-sale/till point experience in a retail setting.
Key Skills and Knowledge
- Ability to demonstrate and promote beauty products effectively.
- Understanding of various skin types and product suitability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent product knowledge of cosmetics and beauty ranges.
- Results-driven with a focus on sales targets.
- Strong administrative abilities.
- Bilingual, preferably fluent in Afrikaans and English.
- Engaging and customer-focused personality.
- Background in retail/FMCG, with knowledge of merchandising and promotional strategies.
- Familiarity with payment procedures, including cash, bank cards, credit cards, vouchers, and coupons.
