Job Purpose:

The Beauty Assistant will provide excellent customer service by offering professional and knowledgeable advice on beauty and skincare products, managing merchandise, and ensuring effective housekeeping to build customer loyalty and maximize sales.

Job Objectives:

• Provide expert advice to customers by answering product-based questions and helping them select the best beauty and skincare products that meet their needs.

• Drive and maximize beauty department sales through promotions, cross-selling, and upselling to meet monthly targets.

• Regularly monitor sales, evaluate product performance, and offer suggestions to improve product offerings and increase sales.

• Keep up-to-date knowledge of beauty products, trends, promotions, and events to provide accurate and relevant information to customers.

• Efficiently manage all operational activities within the beauty department, including stock management, minimizing shrinkage, and ensuring a high standard of housekeeping and administration.

• Maintain visual merchandising, in-store presentation, and promotional standards within the beauty department.

• Provide superior customer service by acting as a brand ambassador, offering friendly and professional service.

• Promote the Clicks clubcard and encourage new clubcard sign-ups to achieve clubcard participation targets.

• Increase profitability and brand loyalty through the promotion of private label and exclusive products.

• Support the company’s vision of being the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer by living and driving company values.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

Qualifications and Experience:

• Essential: Grade 12

• Desirable: Relevant beauty or skincare qualification

• Desirable: Experience in beauty/skincare, retail/FMCG, sales, or marketing

Skills, Abilities, and Job-Related Knowledge:

• Understanding and application of selling principles

• Retail/FMCG experience with knowledge of merchandising and promotions

• Strong understanding of stock management procedures

• Knowledge of beauty and skincare products

• Excellent customer service skills
