Job Purpose:

To deliver exceptional service by providing professional and knowledgeable advice on beauty and skincare products. This role focuses on promoting and managing merchandise effectively while maintaining high housekeeping standards to build customer loyalty and drive sales.

Job Objectives:

  • Consult with customers, answer product-related questions, and advise them on selecting the best products and services that meet their individual needs.

  • Drive and maximize sales in the beauty department by promoting, cross-selling, and up-selling, ensuring monthly sales targets are consistently achieved.

  • Monitor product performance, evaluate sales trends, and suggest improvements to enhance product offerings and increase sales.

  • Stay informed about beauty products, trends, promotions, and events to provide accurate and up-to-date information to customers.

  • Effectively manage operational activities in the beauty department, including stock control, minimizing shrinkage, and maintaining high housekeeping and administrative standards.

  • Ensure that all visual merchandising, in-store presentation, and promotional standards within the beauty department are consistently met.

  • Provide superior customer service by acting as a brand ambassador, being visible on the sales floor, and offering friendly and professional service.

  • Promote the Clicks clubcard and encourage new membership to meet participation targets.

  • Drive profitability and customer loyalty by promoting private label and exclusive products.

  • Support the brand’s vision to be the customer’s first choice in health and beauty by embodying and promoting the company values.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Essential: Grade 12

  • Desirable: Relevant beauty/skincare qualification

  • Desirable: Experience in beauty/skincare, retail, FMCG, sales, or marketing environments

Skills, Abilities, and Job-Related Knowledge:

  • Understanding and application of selling principles.

  • Background in retail/FMCG with knowledge of merchandising and promotions.

  • Knowledge of stock management procedures.

  • Strong customer service skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of beauty and skincare products.

  • Results and target-driven approach.

  • Strong customer orientation and interpersonal skills.

  • Good communication and engagement skills, with the ability to connect confidently with customers.

Contractual Hours:
