BDO Thrive Bursary Opportunities
1. Merit Bursary
Awarded based on academic excellence, holistic performance, attitude, aptitude, and need:
- PGDA/CTA or equivalent: Minimum 70% average
- 4th Year: Minimum 75% average
- 3rd Year: Minimum 80% average
2. Merit with Financial Need Bursary
Combines academic performance with financial assessment:
- PGDA/CTA or equivalent: Minimum 60% average
- 4th Year: Minimum 65% average
- 3rd Year: Minimum 70% average
Eligibility Criteria
- Citizenship: South African citizens
- Academic Standing: Registered for CTA, PGDA, or equivalent (first attempt)
- Institution: SAICA-accredited university
- Academic Performance: Consistent pass history (min. average as per bursary type)
- Motivation: Detailed motivation letter required
