Food Lovers Market is seeking experienced Bakery and Deli Counterhands to join our team on a permanent basis. As a Bakery and Deli Counterhand, you will provide exceptional customer service, assist with food preparation, and ensure our bakery and deli counters are well-organized and inviting. The ideal candidate will be well-presented, organized, friendly, and committed to delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do

  • Inform customers about daily specials and regular deals.
  • Handle transactions, including issuing change, receipts, and processing refunds and exchanges.
  • Assist with food preparation and packaging, ensuring bakery and deli items are displayed attractively and hygienically.
  • Maintain a positive attitude by welcoming, greeting, and assisting customers.
  • Engage with customers, suggesting bakery and deli items, and supporting upselling efforts.
  • Keep the bakery and deli counter clean and organized, contributing to an appealing display.
  • Address customer inquiries and feedback professionally and respectfully.
  • Accurately fulfill customer orders and learn to operate cash registers for precise transaction handling.
  • Collaborate with the bakery and deli team to restock shelves and ensure a constant supply of fresh products.

Preferences

  • Experience in following recipes and operating baking equipment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with using cash registers or POS systems is advantageous.
