Key Responsibilities
As a Baker, you will be responsible for:

• Performing the full baking process, including mixing, fermenting, baking, cooling, and packaging.
• Following and creating recipes accurately to produce consistently high-quality baked goods.
• Preparing fillings, applying glazes, and decorating baked goods to perfection.
• Operating slicing, wrapping machines, and other bakery equipment.
• Adjusting ingredient quantities based on production requirements.
• Managing supplies, monitoring inventory levels, and placing equipment orders.
• Storing ingredients safely and maintaining hygiene standards in the bakery.
• Maintaining cleanliness in the bakery and ensuring high standards of hygiene.
• Coordinating bakery deliveries and managing supply storage effectively.
• Weighing ingredients, preparing dough, and ensuring dough is properly rolled, kneaded, and shaped.
• Setting oven temperatures, monitoring baking progress, and ensuring the quality of ingredients.
• Placing dough in pans, molds, or on sheets and baking them in production ovens or grills.

Job Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
• Reside within 25 km of the store location.
• Clear criminal record.

Preferences
While not required, the following experience will be considered an advantage:

• 3-5 years of experience working as a Baker or Confectioner.
