Key Responsibilities:
As a Baker, your daily tasks will include:
- Overseeing the entire baking process, from mixing ingredients to baking, cooling, and packaging finished products.
- Following and adjusting recipes to produce consistent, high-quality baked goods.
- Preparing fillings, applying glazes, and decorating baked items to enhance their appearance and taste.
- Operating baking equipment, such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and wrapping machines.
- Managing ingredient quantities based on production needs and maintaining accurate inventory.
- Ensuring ingredients are stored safely and hygienically.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the bakery, ensuring all workstations and equipment are sanitized.
- Monitoring baking times and temperatures to ensure products are baked to perfection.
- Weighing and measuring ingredients for dough preparation, kneading, cutting, and shaping dough.
- Managing deliveries and supply storage efficiently to ensure smooth daily operations.
Requirements:
To be considered for the Baker role, you will need:
- Matric certificate.
- Experience as a Baker (minimum 3 years preferred).
- A clean criminal record.
- Residence within 15km of the job location.
