Job Description:
As a Baker, you will be responsible for producing a variety of baked goods, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols, and consistently delivering fresh, delicious products to our customers. You will collaborate with the bakery team to achieve production goals and help maintain the quality of our offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and mix ingredients as required for various baked goods.
- Shape dough for different types of pastries and breads.
- Bake a variety of bread and pastry products to meet quality standards.
- Recommend new recipes to diversify the menu and attract more customers.
- Adjust oven temperatures for optimal baking results.
- Monitor inventory of ingredients and place orders as needed.
- Minimize ingredient wastage during the baking process.
- Manage and control the ingredients used for yeast-based products.
- Maintain stock levels according to production schedules and customer demand.
- Ensure all bakery equipment and facilities are cleaned after each shift.
- Follow processes to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time and to the highest quality standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric Certificate (advantageous).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a bakery environment.
- Knowledge of bakery operations, including hygiene and safety standards.
- Proficiency in operating bakery equipment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Willingness to work shifts.
- A clear criminal record.
