The Automation QA will be responsible for the following:

Designing and planning test scenarios.

Preparing and maintaining test cases.

Conducting test case reviews.

Executing test cases and ensuring comprehensive coverage.

Logging and tracking defects to completion.

Reporting test progress across various environments.

Providing production support testing.

Offering regular feedback to team members, developers, and stakeholders.

Attending daily stand-ups and providing updates on testing progress.

Flexibility to work some evenings for live deployments (2-3 nights per month).

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Relevant IT Tertiary Qualification.

5+ years of experience in a testing or similar role.

Experience in FinTech, Retail, Payments, or Banking environments is preferred.

Strong experience in API testing (required).

Familiarity with API testing tools such as POSTMAN, JMETER, RAPID API, SoapUI, REST-assured, Catalon Studio, Apigee (required).

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.

Proficiency in using Linux.

Experience in automation testing.

Experience with enterprise-scale application stacks.

Exposure to the full software development lifecycle.

Skills:

Strong proficiency in database queries.

Familiarity with programming script languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Committed to delivering high-quality work and taking ownership of tasks.

Highly motivated with a passion for software testing and the SDLC.

Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Debugging and troubleshooting skills.
