Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Inspire and guide a team of store associates, establishing clear expectations and fostering a positive work culture.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service by training and coaching staff to provide outstanding experiences.
  • Sales Growth: Partner with the Store Manager to achieve or exceed sales targets, develop and implement effective sales strategies, and track key performance indicators.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock replenishment, while reducing stock losses and ensuring accurate counts.
  • Visual Merchandising: Maintain an attractive store layout and engaging product displays to draw in and captivate customers.
  • Operational Excellence: Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and security measures.
  • Training and Development: Support the development of team members by enhancing their product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve customer complaints and operational issues promptly and professionally.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards, fostering a culture of safety within the store.
  • Reporting: Assist in generating and analyzing reports on sales, inventory, and other metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Store Planning: Contribute to merchandising planning, promotional campaigns, and marketing initiatives.
  • Administrative Duties: Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Store Maintenance: Oversee store cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation.
  • Support the Store Manager: Collaborate closely with the Store Manager, stepping in when needed and helping to execute their vision for the store.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience in retail.
  • 3 years of management experience (preferred).
  • Proficiency in sales and service management.
  • Budgeting experience.
  • Computer literate.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of retail trade, brand management, and customer needs.
