Job Overview
BUCO Ondangwa is looking for a dedicated and driven Assistant Store Manager to support our store’s growth, profitability, and operational success. The Assistant Store Manager will be responsible for optimizing store operations, overseeing stock management, supporting the team, and enhancing customer satisfaction, while upholding BUCO’s values and culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive store growth and profitability by managing costs, maximizing sales, and identifying new business opportunities.
- Oversee stock management, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-merchandised retail space with accurate product pricing and displays.
- Assist in end-of-day till reconciliation and prepare tills for the next day’s operation.
- Lead, motivate, and manage the team to meet store objectives, ensuring a positive work environment.
- Support performance improvement for the sales team, addressing customer complaints effectively to enhance the brand’s reputation.
- Assist the Store Manager in analyzing business operations, identifying success areas, and addressing challenges.
- Promote BUCO’s values through integrity, accountability, resourcefulness, and teamwork.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Higher Certificate or Diploma in Retail or Business Management (preferred)
- 4 years of relevant retail experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
- Proficient in computer skills
